John T. Kearns, CPA
John is a Certified Public Accountant and majority shareholder of John Kearns and Company, Inc. His experience spans over 35 years of service to businesses and individuals. His years of experience have taught him to approach each engagement from a problem solving perspective. His reputation is one of finding better solutions by looking beyond the numbers. Educated at California State University, Long Beach, John’s career includes the initial years with the international accounting firm of Arthur Young & Company, service as controller and Treasurer of a publicly owned construction company and, for the last 28 years, owner/partner in private practice.

Kurt R. Korneisel, CPA
Kurt is a minority shareholder of John Kearns and Company, Inc. He graduated from The University of Iowa with a Masters in Accounting degree in 1983, after which he spent five years with McGladrey & Pullen, three years with a real estate development company, and now over 17 years with John Kearns & Company. Kurt previously taught high school mathematics in Iowa after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Iowa State University in 1975.

He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and is certified by the CSCPA in estate planning. His interests revolve mainly around sports, particularly baseball, football, and golf.

J Patrick Meehan, CPA
Patrick graduated from California State University Fullerton in August 1989. He gained experience in a local CPA firm and served as a controller in the construction and agribusiness industries before joining John Kearns & Company, Inc. in 2006. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. His interests include biking, history, and camping. He is a resident of Fallbrook, and is married with two children.

Debbie Grauer, Administration
Debbie received a degree in Business Administration from Santa Monica College and also attended UCLA. She was employed for over ten years with the State Board of Equalization in the auditing department. Debbie worked for two other CPA firms before joining John Kearns & Company in 1990. Her interests include environmental issues, antiques, dance, football and her dogs. She is married with two sons.
